Tumbleweed Berkheya (Berkheya onopordifolia)

 Besides finding out that this plant is not endemic to South Africa and is found in the Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga and North West provinces, no further information is available.

 Many types of insects are attracted to it as can be seen in the first photograph. It is very common in grasslands.
